Things to think about today
Aug 10, 2021Good morning!
I’ll be keeping things a bit shorter than usual today because I’ll be delivering the opening keynote address at the virtual MoneyShow a few minutes from now at 10am EST.
Frankly, I can’t wait because I see so much opportunity on the horizon and I’m keen to communicate that to everybody attending. It’s FREE and I hope you’ll join me.
Get immediate access to the stream now.
Meanwhile, stay frosty!
Here’s what I am watching this morning:
- Covid is changing corporate attitudes (again) – this could have a material impact on how, when, and where America returns to work.
- There are more jobs available than people to fill them – more than 10 million, actually. I think it pressures entitlement spending and there could be a backlash in big gov; not a lot of folks are talking about that yet.
- Looming debt showdown – here we are again - The markets will stall at the prospect but probably not if the Fed makes a few well-placed comments about spending and remaining dovish. If not, the game is afoot.
- EV initiatives are great, but many consumers do not want to give up their gasoline – then there’s the fact that there simply are not enough charging stations and tax incentives … for consumers. It’s beginning to dawn on folks that Tesla truly holds the cards here.
- Bitcoin and Ethereum got a boost – I think you have to play the odds even if the winner is yet to be seen. I advocate owning both but with an emphasis on Ether if you’re just starting the journey or putting new money to work.
Bottom Line
Profit from folly but don’t participate in it, especially now!
Make it a GREAT day and, of course …
You got this – I promise!
