The surprising reason I am counting on easy money policies

Nov 15, 2021

Good morning!

The markets are up in the early going and that’s always a fabulous way to start the week.

Here’s my playbook.

1 – The surprising reason I am counting on easy money policies.

Money doesn’t do politics, but politics does money and, at least in this case, there could be a surprising conclusion. More money chasing fewer stocks = concentrating liquidity and higher prices.

My 2022 target for the S&P 500 is 5,376.23. And, as I noted with the one and only Stuart Varney earlier this morning, here’s why. (Watch)

2 - 1st and 2nd big post-Covid aircraft orders go to … Airbus

Boeing put on a good show in Dubai with rosy talk about how China might be ready to re-approve/place 787 Dreamliner and 737 Max orders. But it was Airbus that rang the register in Dubai with an order for 255 aircraft from Indigo Partners which owns American Frontier Airlines and others. The company quickly hit the button again with a 111 aircraft order from Air Lease Corporation (Read)

3 – Regulators will have a cow if I’m right

AMC Theaters announced that it will accept online payments in crypto including Bitcoin, Ether, Bitcoin cash and Litecoin. Dogecoin fans need not worry, that’s coming later too according to company reps.

Good move for usability but what really catches my attention is the potential for gift cards to actually be worth something. I can easily envision a new secondary market developing and one that could re-write loyalty programs.

Regulators are going to have a cow!

4 – This is too good not to laugh (even if it stinks) – FBI hack

FBI computers were apparently hacked to send a fake email about cyberattacks. It was marked “urgent” of course. (Read)

You’ll thank yourself for buying this fund a few years from now

I’m finishing up my research on a new fund for the December issue and, mark my words, it’ll be one that you’ll kick yourself for not owning a few years from now if you don’t get on board. If you have this covered, cool. If not and you’d like to join OBAers around the world who will get my recommendation first, click here.

5 – Some energy stocks could double

People are so busy focusing on the trees that they cannot see the forest. The big energy companies – the majors – still make plenty of sense. It’s important to think of them as a continuum moving from one form of energy to another.

Chevron is by far and away my favourite. The company has a great dinosaur juice portfolio, is expanding conventional operations but, critically, has the best breakthrough energy investments in the industry IMHO. And, not for nothing, the 4.66% yield isn’t too shabby either! (Read)

Bottom Line

Many investors spread themselves too thin with predictable results.

Real strength (and success) comes from knowing a few stocks/investments really well.

Then playing ahead!

Let’s make it a great day.

You got this – I promise!
